MTL's Description: These GP35
locomotives are painted MP blue with white
logos, lettering and chevron stripes on the
ends. First built in the early 1960's, they
were the first locos to bear the large white
eagles (known as the Screaming Eagle or the
Turbo Eagle), a distinct new symbol of this
railroad during the diesel era. The eagles
were eventually integrated into the company
logo by the mid-to-late 1970's.
